Palatka Municipal Airport is an ideal inland location for any industry and business
looking to relocate or start anew. We possess the precious and rare feature of being
both “in the market” yet “out of the way”. We are 29 statute miles from the Atlantic
coast in northeast Florida and only a 45 minute drive from our surrounding larger urban
areas, being just southwest of Jacksonville, east of Gainesville, and northwest of
Daytona Beach. All routes in and out directly access the solid infrastructure of State
highways and the nearby U.S highways and interstates that compliment our location. We
are less than two miles from downtown Palatka, the hub of Putnam County.
This is the land designated for Terminal West.
Airfield Layout
The land featured here is the location of a future commercial development area to be known
as “Terminal West”. As seen in these photos, “Terminal West” is airfield adjacent and
immediately north and south of the approach to our primary runway: 09/27. Land Sites are
available. “Terminal West” is directly bordered by County Highway 309C. This highway intersects
State Roads 100, 20, and St. Johns Avenue, a main artery into and through the City.
St. Johns Avenue is the direct roadway that accesses the Kay Larkin Industrial Park, Land
Sites are available, and the Putnam County Business Park. Adjacent to the Airport, both
opportunities filled parks feature paved inner roadways and a complete infrastructure of
utilities, including Phase III.
Currently in the early conceptual design stage, is a new commercial development area to be
known as “Terminal East”. It too, is airfield adjacent and will have direct paved access off
Moody Road, which directly intersects Highway 100 and St. Johns Avenue. Land Sites are available.
Non-airfield designated land may be entertained for a long-term lease that supports your proposal
of intended activities. This location includes most land north of txy Bravo as shown on the Airfield
Layout to the right. Aviation related activities only shall receive consideration for this location.

Development Opportunity - Highway Frontage - Prime Land
Fronting State Road 100 near the County Road 216 junction is approximately 6.4 acres of Airport property.
This offers various opportunities for various uses as a single location or divided for shared enjoyment.
A complete infrastructure of utilities is adjacent. This Land is available.
Fronting busy State Road 100 is a 6.4 acre development opportunity. In addition to fronting State Road 100,
it also adjoins the Airport’s main entrance and the new FBO / Terminal building. This Land is available.
The present zoning profile of all land within the Airport property boundary is M1, light industrial,
with a proposal for future land use change under consideration. The proposed new designation under
consideration is AP-1 and AP-2, and simply separates aircraft operating areas from non-aircraft operating
areas.
Definitions:
Executive Hangar is defined as a stand alone bulk hangar whose sole purpose
is the storage of a single airworthy aircraft or multiple airworthy aircraft. Only a single tenant shall be
considered for each Executive Hangar. The aircraft must warrant a hangar of this size.
Commercial Hangar is defined as a stand alone bulk hangar of
size and amenities that meets the requirements for a commercial business operation.
Community Hangar Space is defined as hangar space whose sole purpose
is the storage of multiple airworthy aircraft and multiple tenants.
T-Hangar/T-Cabin Hangar is defined as those units of “t” configuration
contained within a row of multiple attached duplicate units. These units are intended for airworthy aircraft occupancy.
Building Rental is defined as a stand alone fixed building structure,
not of hangar consideration, whose primary purpose is to house a commercial business operation that does not require a Commercial
Hangar facility.
Office Space is defined as any space, ready or converted, within any existing
Hangar or Building, which meets the needs of a smaller operation that does not require a Commercial Hangar facility.
Conference Room is defined as that portion of a building pre-designated eligible
for public gatherings. This option may include available office space or other building space suitable to meet the demand.
Aircraft Ramp and Vehicle Parking is defined as those designated general areas intended for their respective
parking. All parking is not reserved and is available on a first come/first serve basis.
Parking in Palatka falls under two categories: Aircraft parking and vehicular parking. Ramp Space for aircraft parking
is designated as the “general public ramp”. Spots are provided on a first come/first serve basis, with a proposal for future
“spot reserved” under consideration. Paved vehicle access provided. Ramp sites are available.
Vehicle Parking is designated as the terminal landside public lot. Spots are provided on a first come/first serve basis,
with a proposal for future “spot reserved” under consideration. We can accommodate the day/overnight vehicle and the
long-term vehicle, long-term defined as monthly or beyond. As an added bonus, if an aircraft is engaged in consistent
long-term vehicular parking, the one aircraft associated to that vehicle is NOT assessed additional parking fees. Ramp
fees are waived. Vehicular Parking sites are available.
The completion of the new Terminal Building provides for multiple lease opportunities in multiple areas.
The old terminal building, pictured right, is a stand alone Building Rental,
approximately 1500 square feet and features utilities, HVAC, restrooms, office space, and attached storage
space. It is in a prime location, offering both airside and land side access, and very much suitable for
multiple uses such as a restaurant, a flight school, a cab service company or a car rental agency, or even
public gatherings. This Building Rental is available.
The new Terminal Building, pictured right, features Office Space and a
Conference Room. The Office Suite is a generous area of approximately
480 square feet, is in a prime location, and benefits from all the amenities that the new terminal building
has to offer. The Conference room seats ten around the table with floor space for a sizeable audience.
And as with the Office Suite, it too, benefits from all the amenities the new terminal building has to
offer. Office Space is currently available. The Conference Room is currently available and accepting reservations.
Commercial building located in the Kay Larkin Industrial Park…This is a stand alone Building Rental
of approximately 4,750 square feet. It features utilities, restrooms, office space, storage space, dual roll up chain drive doors, and
approximately 1.26 fenced acres on included land. It is in a prime location, Airport adjacent, and is serviced by paved
inner roadways and a complete infrastructure of utilities, including Phase III. This particular
Building Rental was recently leased. However, Land Sites in the Industrial Park are available for development.
Shown here is the Northwest Hangar Development Area, an area providing 30 T-Hangars,
3 Commercial Hangars, and 2 Executive Hangars.
Shown below is the Northeast Hangar Development Area, an area providing an additional 24 T-Hangars,
2 Storage Facilities, 1 Corporate Hangar, and common restroom facilities.
The Commercial Hangars stand alone and are of various size and amenities.
They feature paved attached aprons, attached office space, independent electric and water bibs, well-maintained
manual rolling doors and pedestrian doors, paved vehicle access, and a customer vehicle parking area.
The Executive Hangars stand alone and are both 60x60 with a 55” door opening.
They vary in amenities. Both feature paved attached aprons, paved vehicle access, independent electric and
water bibs, and well maintained manual rolling doors with pedestrian doors.
Recent new construction increased the number of T-Hangars to 54 total.
Varying in amenities, all T-Hangars feature paved vehicle access, electric, shared water bibs, paved
attached aprons, well maintained manual rolling doors, and approximately 1000 square feet with a 42”
door opening. T- Hangars are available with no waiting.
The new Storage facilities feature paved vehicle access, electric, shared water bibs, and both
pedestrian and chain drive roll up doors, pending the unit. Storage facilities are available with no waiting.
The new Corporate Hangar is approximately 2840 square feet, 50’x 57’, and comes with a
climate-controlled attached storage facility of approximately 421 square feet. This Hangar is primary taxiway adjacent
and features paved attached apron, paved vehicle access, independent electric, shared water bibs, multiple independent
pedestrian doors and an electric hydra swing door with an approximate opening of 53’ 7”. An additional feature provides
stubbed in water and sewer for easy conversion of the attached storage into a private climate controlled office suite.
This Corporate Hangar is available with no waiting.
Additionally, Transient Covered Aircraft Storage is available on a limited basis
only when a hangar or hangar space is vacant. We urge you to consider this option should impending weather force
you to evacuate your aircraft from its current location. Temporary Transient Covered Aircraft Storage is currently
available.
